I know my memory is going…
Small moments…
I know that there is nothing I can do to change this, sadly.
Here is what’s real…not remembering.
Can they help me remember? Probably not.
Or maybe for as long as they can, hopefully.
Please, I pray and beg…let this be easy for them…

Please know that when I can’t remember your name,
My heart will hold true and sing your name to the angels above.
No one will know the fear, I don’t even know.
The time has come and I said goodbye without being able to say goodbye.
I know in my soul the care and love you gave to me…
The love you gave me yesterday and today…
